Ships of the Desert

whispering winds of Sirocco,

arid heat,

steals my breath away

and summons me to you

I hear your call

burning in my ear

spoken in the voice of the desert

the soul of the universe

the language of love

swaying from side to side

on the ships of the desert

our hips in harmony

our sighs in synch

we return to our oasis

where we feed on our love

my scattered soul

is called back home

back to your arms

back where I belong

One Response to Ships of the Desert

  1. James says:

I really love your response to my “challenge” each word used portrays a different emotion. Simplistic in nature yet stunningly beautiful like nature.
